1. Who we are
Haru (“Haru”, “we”, “us”) is an AI-powered communication coaching service available at this website. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
Haru refines professional communication using artificial intelligence: it rewrites text you provide, scores tone, generates practice flashcards, and can read results aloud. Output is generated by AI models and is provided as suggestions only — you are responsible for reviewing anything you send or publish. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, appropriate, or fit for any particular purpose.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and verify it to create an account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account.
- One account per person; accounts are not transferable.
4. Credits and payment
- Haru is pay-per-use, metered in credits. Each account receives a free monthly allowance (currently 15 credits) that resets on the 1st of each month and does not roll over.
- Additional credits can be purchased as one-time packs. Purchased credits never expire and carry over until used.
- Current per-action costs and pack prices are listed on the pricing page. We may change pricing prospectively; changes never affect credits you already hold.
- Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for currency except as described in our Refund Policy.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or deceptive purposes;
- attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems, or circumvent credit metering;
- resell or provide automated third-party access to the service without our written consent;
- submit content you do not have the right to share.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Your content and our rights
You retain all rights to the text you submit and to the refined output you generate. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service (including sending it to our AI infrastructure provider, AWS, for processing). The Haru software, branding, and design remain our property.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but the service is provided “as is” without uptime guarantees. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the service entirely, unused purchased credits will be refunded pro-rata.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on AI-generated output.
9. Termination
You may stop using Haru and request account deletion at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. On termination for breach, remaining credits are forfeited; otherwise the Refund Policy applies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
